In this role, you will utilize your insurance brokerage expertise to win and retain clients, enhance revenue and close pending business opportunities; establish and maintain effective relationships with carrier, client, and support staff. Provide leadership and mentoring to placement associates across the Cleveland offices.

 

You will act as a senior broker representative of the Willis Ohio office in our dealings with the insurance marketplace.  The primary role is to negotiate and place large casualty insurance programs for our most complex existing and prospective clients. You will also have the ability to engage in constructive discussions with existing and prospective clients about wider strategic risk management and regulatory issues affecting the insurance market. Finally, the role also includes helping clients, producers, and support staff access the greater resources of the worldwide Willis network.

 

Responsible for larger complex accounts i.e. alternative risk solutions, loss sensitive programs

Stimulate revenue growth and meet business objectives by placing new business, improving retention rates, increasing commission rates

Market new business opportunities and secure coverage to meet client needs

Supervise review of renewal business for adequacy of coverage and competitive rates

Develop new partner markets where needed locally and support nationally based relationships

Negotiate carrier contracts and work with Contract Manager prior to executing any agreements

Participate with Regional Placement Officer in establishing overall placement strategy for region

Coordinate with each local office Regional Partner / Managing Partner to ensure alignment between placement and production strategies; maintain strong relationship with local team at all levels

Utilize placement expertise to win and retain clients, enhance revenue and close pending business opportunities; establish and maintain effective relationships with carrier at senior management level and client

Negotiate terms for major accounts and provide expertise for difficult to place business.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required

Insurance Brokers license

 

 

Knowledge/Experience:

The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years industry experience

Deep technical knowledge of Insurance Contracts

Full understanding of various insurance structures

Knowledge of Global Marketplace including London & Bermuda

Ability to solve more complex issues

Direct supervisory experience

Knowledge and understanding of complex risk needs

Strong negotiation & broker skills

Solid communication skills both written and oral

Client service skills

WEM Expertise

Full knowledge of E &O Avoidance & Resolution

Strong IT skills – Micrsoft Office

Strong carrier relationships at senior management level.
